In the Key of Belle (Belle D'Vyne 1980)/Jingle Belle (1983)

I've talked about Belle D'Vyne's first album before, so I decided to talk about these ones. Like before, I'm going to talk about songs individually.

In the key of Belle:
1. In the key of Belle
This song is ALRIGHT. It's kind of Harmless. Lyrically, it's not brilliant, but it's on the same level as the first album's best songs. Musically it's not great, but I don't hate it.
Rating: 65/100

2. Belle says
This song sucks. I hate it, critics hate it, even her fans hate it. It's that bad. It's just her saying "Belle Says..." and then something she wants you to do (Including dance, smile, and love her). I mean for Music's sake IT HAS NO CHORUS! The beat is bizarre and ugly and i hate it and UH! It's playing right now make it stop make it stop!!!!!
Rating: 0/100

This album SUUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKSSSSSSSSS! WHY WAS THIS MADE!
Album Rating:10/100

Jingle Belle

There's not much to talk about with this album. It's just a song of Christmas covers. The only song that rises above "decent" is her cover of "Carol of the bells" and that's only because it's a good song.

Album Rating:10/100

D'Vyne Intervention (Belle D'Vyne 1975)

D'Vyne Intervention (Belle D'Vyne 1975)

Belle D'Vyne is a mess nowadays. After Artie Klinker day, she was arrested for practicing unregistered magic. She was released soon after. She received her own one woman show, that received mixed reviews. I will admit to being a fan of her first album: D'Vyne Intervention.

This album is often hated on nowadays, but at the time it was loved by critics. I'm going to talk about a few songs and discuss them.

1.Groovy Beat
This is a cover of the 1973 song by Belinda Diamond. The original song failed to chart higher than number 41. The cover however, was an number 1 hit. It has some wonderful lyrics and a groovy beat. My favorite lyrics include:
"Hear that groovy beat, baby
Uh, Grooviness all around you
Come on dance with me baby
And I will show you all my moves"

The lyrics are simple, and I believe that was the point. It's a fun dance song with a good beat. It's pretty cool. I also love the remix by 90's rap duo, The Jackson Hats. I'll get to them at some point. I liked it more as a child, but it's still a decent song.75/100

2. D'Vyne Intervention
I hate this song. Why was this the song the album was named after? Lyrics like:

"Uh, I'm D'Vyne
Aint I?:

make me hate this song even more. The improper grammar doesn't fit the tone of this song. The song was banned from airplay due to the religious references. The chorus is just her saying "D'Vyne Intervention" over and over again. I can't stand it. 10/100

The other songs on the album range from alright songs like "I don't need you" to pretty good songs like "Surprise" and awful songs like "Groovy on the dance floor".

Overall, I give it a 63/100. It's decent.
